The Solution to Stiletto Pain?

Could there finally be a solution to the constant pain of a stiletto shoe? The answer may be yes, but for a price! Ralph Young has launched a stiletto line (R-Flex) that have a flex factor to them.  These flexible stilettos are uniquely made in which they have rubber, flexible soles.. think ballerina flats.  Young came up with the idea back in 2009 while traveling around to shoe factories.  The idea is to make the shoe move with the actual natural movement of the foot.  Young's team patented the idea, and are selling the line at $550.  These shoes in the R-Flex line come in a variety of colors and heights.

Chain Link Sunglasses: Trend or Granny-esque

I recently decided to purchase a pair of chain link sunglasses that I thought were really cute and edgy.  However, some see them as being stylish granny glasses. Some may say they look like granny glasses because of the hanging chain that falls from them.  What most people don't know is Chanel is the fashion haus who started this "trend".

Chanel's chain link sunglasses can be seen on celebrities such as Amber Rose and Rihanna.

Although I can not afford the famous Chanel chain link shades, I settled for a pair from GoJane for only 7 bucks!

Is Nail Crackle the New Craze?

Lately a lot of celebrities and everyday fashionistas have been sporting different nail trends this season.  One popular trend is the painting of one nail a different color than the rest.  However, a new nail trend seems to be making waves.  This trend is the art of crackle polish.  Crackle polish was first started by the leading nail polish maker O.P.I.  This design looks like your typical nail polish bottle, only it isn't your ordinary nail polish.  How this crackle effect works is by first applying a base layer of whatever color you desire.  After the color dries, you then start to apply the crackle layer just like you would apply your regular nail polish.  While you paint, you see the polish start to crackle leaving a cool effect on your nails.  Designs may vary when applying, making your nails unique! Crackle colors come in many different colors as well. So, what do you think.. new craze or just a new way to design your nails?

Office Chic

Dressing for an office environment can be a bit tricky at times.  Why you ask? It could be because some feel it is inappropriate to wear bright, fun colors or patterened dresses.  It's time to change that idea! Break away from the boring black and white articles and introduce some color to your work gear! Wearing black and white all the time does not mean you are always professional.  A pop of color will definitely create a fun look and maybe even brighten up you work day!

Not only will this new addition of color keep you looking chic, but accessories will add another pop to your look.  Fun watches, necklaces and bracelets can enhance your look and make it playful.

Another area of concern is the shoe department. Most feel they need to wear heels in order to come off as powerful and professional.  However, this is not the case! Try some cute flats or wedges to create a chic look, while still looking professional.  Lastly, don't feel you always need to wear suits or dress pants.  There are some very chic dresses and pencil skirts that will look great when accessorized appropriately.  So, next time you dress for the office, add color and fun to your office chic look!

Bohemian Braids

A perfect hairstyle for this season's hottest trend has to be the Bohemian Braid.  These braid styles have been seen on my celebrities throughout the recent years.  Why are the perfect for this season? With the '70s style coming back in full swing, might as well let your hair play a part too.  Bohemian Braids can be worn in many different ways.  One way is to braid strands of hair along both sides of your head and either tie them back, or have them pinned back loosely.  Curls are a great compliment to these braids, but you can also wear you hair straight as well.  Also, these braids can be worn in an up-do fashion in which you have a braid being wrapped around your head.  Lastly, you can also just wear a braid down to the side for a casual feminine look.
