Spring Ahead To Spring Cleaning And Donate!

Donate clothes - Oxfam

Thrift shop

If you’re like me, then you have clothes in your closet or bureau that you just don’t want anymore or that don’t fit. So, why not donate them? Organizations such as the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and local community action centers accept donations of new or gently used clothing. If you want to possibly make some cash, then you can go to a consignment shop and if your clothes sell then you get a percentage of the cut! If your clothes don’t sell then the shops donate them to organizations like the ones I mentioned above. It’s a great feeling knowing that those in need are getting your former treasures. If you are going to donate to an organization then you must bring clean non-stained or torn clothes that others can wear and enjoy. A major plus for donating clothes are the benefits that come with it! Not only are you helping others, cleaning your closet, and possibly earning some extra cash, but you may even qualify for a tax write-off for your donation. So...everyone wins!

Another great way to clean out your wardrobe is a clothes swapping party with your friends! Have a group of friends gather and each person can swap and barter with each other for their goodies. It’s a great way to spend time with your friends, get great clothes, and recycle and revamp your wardrobe.

But I love all my clothes! Sigh, you're right.

I've NEVER found anything good from Goodwill. Don't know what all the hype is about. Everythin's just super nasty smelly.
