Pucker up because these babies are staying. At least in my makeup bag. For those of us who watch Youtube gurus and read beauty blogs, you've probably seen them before. Currently all the rage, next to Revlon's Lip Butter, I have to say Maybelline's Baby Lips is the equivalent of the baby sister to the Revlon's older sister. Maybelline, in general, always had a more hipper vibe to it and the packaging for these products seem to agree in comparison to Revlon's more slick, classic designs.
I'm a sucker for packaging and I couldn't wait to get my hand on these when I saw them all over my feed from Youtube, Tumblr, and Facebook. I eventually caved and for good reason because I like them a lot. They live up to the hype for the most part. They glide on smoothly and keep your lips moisturized. They also have SPF 20, so you'll have some protection against the sun. That also means having that funky SPF taste whenever you accidentally lick your lips. If you can deal with that, then we're good.
Baby lips also come in a variety of shades. You have your typical mint flavor, no color, just protection version and then there's the tinted versions that give you a bit of color. Or A LOT OF COLOR. The Pink Punch literally packs a punch. You can build on the color but if you're not careful your lips can end up being a bright, shining Barbie pink, which may or may not work in your favor.
The price is awesome for what you're paying for. I think they were around $3 something, tax not included. And after all, a girl can never have too many lip products, right?
