Jewelry is the cheapest way to spice up your wardrobe. A cheap necklace can add punch to a casual jean and t-shirt outfit. Dazzling Bangle earrings can accentuate an evening dress for the weekend. But how many accessories should you wear? What length necklaces are appropriate for what outfits? Let's settle these jewelry queries before you hit the street catwalk.
BASICS (Keep in mind these can all be real or fake! Just remember to wear with CONFIDENCE!)
My personal opinion is that every girl should have the following items:
-An everyday watch (silver, gold) and a fun watch (flowered, hot pink...etc)
-Pearl and/or silver studs, silver and/or gold hoops, a pair of dangle/chandelier earrings
-A silver or gold necklace with charm at the end (snowflake, four leave clover, star, heart, etc), a fun bold colored necklace, pearl necklace, a beaded necklace (black would be my personal choice but any color works!)
-a fun costume ring and a silver and/or gold ring (claddagh rings are always in style!)
-A silver and/or gold bracelet, charm/linked bracelet, and 10 or so bangles

EVERYDAY:
If you're wearing embroiders, prints, stripes, crazy tights, etc. it's always better to downplay the jewelry. Stick to wearing your everyday watch, ring, studs, and/or necklace/bracelet.
BOLD JEWELRY:
If you want to wear a turquoise chunky necklace or purple chandelier earrings, keep the clothing and other jewelry simple. It will draw more attention to your fresh statement. Black and white tops always make bright colors pop and a brown shirt can look good with other brown, pink, or maroon tones of jewelry. Hoops can look great for the weekend but don't pair with a bunch of bangles on your arm. A pearl necklace looks great with satin and velvet pieces.
NECKLACES:
If you're wearing a strapless dress, a shorter necklace looks better. For a v-neck top, make sure your accessory hits right above your chest.
