I have a feeling that I am the only person in history to ever make this deceleration: I am so excited for Monday morning! Yes, this is actually a true statement and will be for the rest of my Spring semester at Montclair State University. So, I am a Fashion Studies major who is looking to get some real-life experience (and college credit) as an intern at a fashion company. Luckily, MSU has a train station on campus that can provide me a trip to New York City (in a mere 45 minutes) where, of course, the best opportunities lie in the industry. Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry was advertising a Public Relations intern position at their corporate office via Facebook and I, obviously, jumped at the opportunity to score such an awesome job. During my interview, I was a nervous wreck on the inside but managed to keep my cool and maintain awesome eye contact. Afterwards, I even sent them writing samples from my previous Smashion entries! I heard back on February 7th with a warm welcoming e-mail and I can honestly say that I was in shock! So, I begin Monday the 13th and I definitely have never been more excited (and nervous) for anything! I will be working Mondays and Thursdays every week and I can't wait to get a peek inside the industry. My daily jewelry staples are delicate bracelets and a watch but I absolutely love this cuff. It makes such a statement and the black is more unique than gold or silver.
