The New Year has arrived and I’ve been feeling daredevil-like. That’s right! Suddenly, I feel the urge to live my life on the edge. I wish to learn how to ride a Kawasaki. My heart’s desire is to test drive a red Ferrari and thoughts of Nascar have been racing through my mind, literally! So for 2012, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to take more risks in life, one being, wearing more edgy, tomboy-ish, and sexy pieces! The intermixing of these three styles to form one complete look is absolutely incredible! The color black defines every aspect of edginess from my fashionable perspective. Red is sexy and seductive, but I find it to be the pop of color needed to achieve certain edgy looks. Black and white is the new black and red. Black and red motorcycle-styled, bomber, leather jackets are perfect for edgy, sexy, and tomboy-chic looks. Other tomboy, mixed with a dose of edge, pieces are Nascar-styled jackets (I was browsing through the Nascar online store and found a replica of Danica Patrick's uniform jacket!) and Letterman jackets in a variety of fascinating hues. Skinny denims paired with sneakers and combat boots, results in an ultra tomboyish look. Skinny denims and pure, solid, black or red pumps gives a sense of edginess mixed with sexy. I can imagine dying my hair jet black, painting my fingernails with OPI red or black polish, and wearing a smokey eye outlined with heavy MAC liquid liner in “Boot Black”. Ah, danger!
