So pop-princess Britney Spears paired up with Candies to create a shoe line. Brit describes the shoes as "edgy, yet girly." Having no idea Brit made shoes, I am at a loss to describe them. It doesn’t help that the ads seems to be working harder to represent Britney as a weird pseudo-Barbie figure, than working to show off the shoes.
Now expanding her work with Candies, Brit launched a line of clothing, bags, and jewelry a few weeks ago — also to be sold at Kohl’s. This line is a “mix of comfortable and flirty” to reflect Brit’s personal style. The clothes seem average. There is nothing groundbreaking or overly stylish about them. Brit describes putting the line together as telling Candies her favorite things to wear, and them making those pieces. It seems the line will just be a recreation of current trends.
