Best Under-Eye Concealer I Have Found

I don’t know about you but I have dark circles under my eyes. Part of it is from a lack of sleep/ stress but it's mostly a genetic thing. Even as a kid I have had them. Recently I have become fed up with the way concealers have been working on me. I pretty much have a favorite of every product except for concealers. So this has started an obsessive need to find one pronto. Since I have had such bad luck, I wanted to keep my search within a drugstore line.

I came across many ideas online from makeup gurus but the one that stood out and made the most sense to me is Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind concealer and their brightener. Originally I was going to buy the concealer in my shade and the brightener to put on top but I thought I would just try one first. I went with the brightener, per my sister’s suggestion. She pointed out that my biggest problem is I need to brighten that area. So I took it home and tried it on right away. First the way the product goes on is very different, you click the product up into a round brush which I swept under my eye then patted the product in with my finger. The formulation is really light and can be built up, which I did. Since little product comes out you don’t have to worry about directly applying it to the under-eye area and caking up the product. I was surprised how well the product worked. It really lightened my dark circles but still looked natural. The pinkish shade of the brightener I think is what really made this product work and cut down the blue circles around the eyes. I could still see my dark circles but I think if you put the brightener over a concealer that would help or if you have light circles, this product will work for you. Even if you don’t wear much makeup or any, this product looks so natural and doesn’t need too much blending either.

If you are on the hunt for a concealer that is lightweight, won’t get into fine lines/creases, and looks natural, this might be the right choice for you. Like I said, I am really pleased with this product. I got it for $9.99 at a local store and I believe it will last me a long time.

Please let me know what your favorite under eye concealer is; I am always looking for more ideas.
