Have a great Memorial Day,

Suggestions On Keeping Your Makeup Cool In the Summer
Sometimes I feel like the wicked witch of the west melting in the summer heat, especially when it comes to my makeup! Here are some tips to
keep your makeup fresh, even if you’re at the beach or pool!
Always wear a moisturizer with sunscreen (at LEAST 15)
in it to protect your skin from the heat! I recommend Neutrogena.

I personally feel that foundation looks cakey in the summer no matter what. If you must wear it, try a clear foundation like Philosophy the present foundation clear makeup ($25). It minimizes pores and provides a great makeup base.

If you have oily skin, Clinique has a great shine minimizer.
Cream powder is too heavy in the summer so opt for a powder matte such as L'Oreal’s mineral powder with SPF 15 in it.

Waterproof mascara is a must. I use Great Lash in Black. You should also apply chapstick with SPF in it. You probably won’t need blush since your cheeks will be naturally sun-kissed!
Lastly, instead of reapplying your powder to keep oil at bay, try Clean and Clear blotting tissues. They refresh your face without taking off your makeup!

While most of us anticipate watching Sex and the City 2 (if you haven't already), the leading ladies attended the NYC premiere this week, decked out in fashion worthy of both films combined. There was Kristin, Kim, Cynthia and oh yes, SJP brought an extra dress to the event.
In a flirty, red carpet spin, Sarah showed off a bold yellow Valentino gown in delicate chiffon. The dress featured a beautifully draped bodice and asymmetrical shoulder strap. In another pose with husband Matthew Broderick, SJP was seen in a black lace dress featuring cut outs and a long, pleated skirt. This one did appear a bit matronly, and may be the reason for the wardrobe change.
Moving on to the always adorable Kristin Davis, she wore a pink strapless gown by Jean Desses which was perfectly fitting of her “Charlotte” character with a feminine side ruffle. Kim Cattrall chose a vibrant yellow gown by Naeem Khan which was covered in dazzling embellishment. Was she trying to compete with SJP in that bold shade of yellow? Maybe, but she looked absolutely beautiful and possibly even appeared younger. Cynthia Nixon went a bit more simple in a strapless black gown from Carolina Herrera which features a small embellished leaf detail at one side of the bust. Though it may have been less showy, she also looked amazing.

Not a cast member but certainly deserving of a mention was
Jennifer Love Hewitt in a light mocha bandage dress by the incredible Herve Leger. In between bands were gemstone adorned
stripes, creating a look almost more dazzling than some of the cast
members. Despite any recent tabloid
scrutiny, Jennifer looked positively radiant.
From stars of the film to celebrity fans, this movie premiere
event may have featured more fashion stunners and couture pieces than the film
itself.
Wearing Belts In More Ways than One
Belts are a great way to expand your wardrobe without dropping too much money. You can do so many things with belts! You can wrap a belt right below your chest to emphasize a small waist line.
You can also wear it right over the belt loop part of your pants to make it emphasized more as part of your outfit.
Jewelry: If you're going to wear a belt as a piece of jewelry, I would suggest a silk ribbon or chain belt.
This belt can be worn as a necklace. It can also be wrapped around your arm a few times to give the illusion that you're wearing a couple bracelets.
Trendy Threads Tuesday: Lightweight Style
A good lightweight outfit for any day of the week! Find a comfy, patterned t-shirt to pair with a casual skirt. Suede boots are great for walking outside, with a small purse you can swing around your shoulder. A light jacket is great if you're planning on being out all day too!
