Going "green" has been a major concept in the automobile industry (hybrids) and in grocery stores (recyclable bags). Now my friends, it is time to turn our attention to ourselves. A whole body green makeover, head to toe! And we only have to make three stops.
Hair, Makeup, and Body:
My all time favorite place to go: The Body Shop. I used to
work at one and I love the company just as much as I love the products. The
body shop has been a front-runner in the green movement ever since the 70s when
the first store opened. The Body shop is extremely against animal testing and
plays a big role in fair trade. Even though I don’t work there anymore, I still
get just about all my body needs from there. Some of my favorites:
Guarana Berry Volumizing shampoo/conditioner: I swear by this product.

Clothing:
This website is a recent discovery of mine. It's called Alternative Apparel. It’s a company that is trying to better the workplace along with the environment. It incorporates such things as organic materials and low impact dyes into its clothing. This website has something for everyone. They have the baggy bohemian dress for the day and a sexy black tunic with a dropped neckline for night. No matter what the time, mood, day, Alternative Apparel seems to offer it all (and in every color!)
Shoes:
Last, but most certainly not least, are the ‘green’ shoes. There is nothing I love more than a company that makes a product that is so unique, different AND makes the world a better place: Tom’s Shoes. This is a company that makes quality canvas shoes and boots and for every single pair that is sold, they give a pair away for free to children in developing countries. There is almost every color and pattern imaginable
